What a summer it’s been at Waverley Market!
One of our favourite moments of the summer was coming together with our community to celebrate Scotland’s return to the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1998.
The afternoon was filled with football spirit, family fun and plenty of Scottish pride. From face painting and live music to flags, horns and football-themed activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The celebrations continued throughout Waverley Market, which was also home to the Official Scotland Shop, giving fans the chance to get their hands on the latest Scotland merchandise ahead of the tournament. From shirts and scarves to other World Cup essentials, the shop added to the excitement and gave supporters the perfect opportunity to show their colours as Scotland returned to football’s biggest stage.
It was fantastic to see so many families, football fans and visitors joining us at Waverley Market and creating such a brilliant atmosphere. The energy and excitement throughout the afternoon really captured what makes supporting Scotland so special – bringing people together and celebrating as a community.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a memorable occasion. We loved celebrating this special moment in Scottish football with you and look forward to bringing more community events and experiences to Waverley Market in the future.
